The 55th Annual Cincinnati Music Festival
August 1, 2017
The 55th Annual Cincinnati Music Festival sponsored by Procter and Gamble welcomed over 40K concert attendees. The festival opened on Thursday, July 27, 2017 with a Pre-Party with a Purpose to give back to the community at the Paul Brown Stadium. The party included a Fashion Show by Shingo and performances by Rob Base, Kid Capri, and Doug E. Fresh.
The Paul Brown Stadium also hosted the two-night concerts on July 28th & 29th and was filled with attendees from Cincinnati, Chicago, etc. The concerts were hosted by Doug E. Fresh and kicked off Friday night, with SWV, En Vogue, BBD, Kem, and Mary J. Blige. The second nights line up included Ro James, Confunkshun, Anthony Hamilton, Fantasia, and was closed out by Usher with special guest Rapper Lil Jon.
The performers gave an awesome show and the concert goers were on their feet rocking to the songs each night. “We returned to the festival this year because of the awesome lineup, which brought a unique crowd back to the festival” says concert alumni Kawanda Johnson from Chicago. The festival was the place to be for new and returning attendees.
The festival also included day time activities in the Cincinnati Fountain Square where attendees could enjoy food and live performances on the P& G stage including rapper Special Ed.
twinKonnections also got a chance to meet and greet Usher at the festival. Oh, what a treat that was! Thanks to the Cincinnati Music Festival and we look forward to the 2018 festival!
