The Circle Foundation's 8th Annual Gala and Awards Dinner took place at Alhambra Palace in Chicago on Sunday, March 19th, 2017. The Annual Gala is in support of Innovations Charter High School. Innovations High School was founded in 2008 by Omar Moore and LaShaun Jackson. The Co-Founders saw a need for an at risk high school and took over when the previous school was closing. The high school services over 450 at risk youth. The Circle Foundation's mission is to establish an institution that innovatively inspires, motivates, and empowers people to develop and realize their highest aspirations. The gala was hosted by NFL Player Matt Forte. Matt also presented a $10K scholarship on behalf of his foundation What's Your Forte? to Innovations Student of the Year, Sihan Hussein. Sihan is a graduating Senior from Somalia who fled to the United States at age 17. Sihan learned English and is an honor student. She is truly an example of hardwork and determination. Guests enjoyed dinner, a nice awards ceremony, and a fashion show. The Circle Foundation should be applauded for providing an environment where teens can achieve success.
